Terms of Use

Cluebound is a lateral thinking puzzle app in which short mystery stories are solved through yes/no questions. It includes single-player and multiplayer modes in which questions are answered by an AI-powered narrator, a daily challenge, story writing, social features and leaderboards. The App requires an internet connection.

We may change, add or remove features over time. We don't guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free.

• You must be at least 13 years old to use the App. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you must use the App with the permission of a parent or guardian.
• Creating an account requires a valid email address or a Google or Apple account. The information you provide must be accurate.
• You are responsible for keeping your account and password secure. Tell us immediately if you think your account has been used without your permission.
• Your username must not impersonate anyone, be offensive or infringe anyone's rights.

The stories, comments, in-game questions and other content you create in the App ("Content") belong to you. By publishing Content, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, sublicensable licence to display it in the App, let other users play it, reproduce, format, translate and promote it, and process it with AI services for moderation. This licence ends within a reasonable period after you delete the Content or your account, except for copies already shared with others and records we must keep by law.

If you submit your story for the official Cluebound collection, it will be reviewed; acceptance is at our discretion.

You confirm that the Content you share is yours or that you have the right to share it.

In the App you must not:

• post profanity, insults, hate speech, harassment or discrimination;
• post sexual content, graphic violence or content that encourages drug use;
• share your own or anyone else's personal information (phone number, address, etc.);
• post spam, advertising, gibberish or someone else's work without permission;
• reveal a story's solution in comments or by other means;
• use cheats, bots or automation, or interfere with the operation of the App or its servers;
• reverse engineer or copy the App, or try to get around its security measures;
• do anything that breaks the applicable law.

Story titles, story text and comments are checked automatically with AI before they're published; content that appears to break the rules is not published. Users can report inappropriate content and accounts, and we review reports.

We may remove content that breaks these terms and temporarily or permanently restrict accounts. If you think a decision is wrong, write to miracakkoyun@clueboundapp.com.

The AI narrator's answers, solution scores and hints are generated automatically and can sometimes be wrong or inconsistent. They are for entertainment, and we don't guarantee their accuracy. Points, levels and rankings are in-game values with no monetary value.

• The App is free to download and play. The free version shows ads.
• An optional Premium subscription is offered with monthly and yearly options; current prices are shown on the purchase screen and in the store.
• Payment is charged to your Apple App Store or Google Play account. The subscription renews automatically for the same period and price unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
• You can manage and cancel your subscription in your App Store or Google Play account settings. Deleting the App or your account does not cancel the subscription.
• Refund requests are subject to Apple's or Google's refund policies and are made directly to them.
• Your rights under applicable consumer protection law are not affected.

The free version shows ads through Google AdMob. Some extra hints can be unlocked by watching a rewarded ad. Advertisers are responsible for the products and services in their ads.

Apart from user Content, the App's name, logo, design, software and the stories created by Cluebound belong to us or are licensed to us. You may use them only to use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes.

The App is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent permitted by applicable law, we are not liable for indirect damages arising from service interruptions, data loss, user content or third-party services. Liability that cannot be limited by law (e.g. for intent or gross negligence) is not affected.

You can delete your account at any time in the App or request deletion by email; see Account & Data Deletion. We may close your account if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms.

If you downloaded the App from the App Store: these terms are between you and us, not Apple, and we, not Apple, are responsible for the App and its content. Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the App. If the App fails to conform to any warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price, if any; to the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation. We, not Apple, are responsible for addressing any product liability, consumer protection or intellectual property infringement claims relating to the App. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you. You must also comply with the App Store Terms of Service when using the App.

We may update these terms. The current version is always on this page. We'll announce significant changes in the App or by email; continuing to use the App after a change means you accept the new terms.

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Turkey. The courts and enforcement offices of [DOLDUR: Yetkili mahkeme şehri, ör. İstanbul (Anadolu)] have jurisdiction over disputes. If you are a consumer, your right to apply to consumer arbitration committees and consumer courts, and any mandatory protections of the country you live in, are not affected.
